The Cayman Islands have always been an attractive prospect for real estate investors and developers worldwide. Whether it be due to the picturesque natural environment that boasts world-renown beaches or simply because property ownership is not barred by the neverending committment of property tax (tax-free is key!) - the Cayman Islands boasts one of the most vibrant and successful real estate markets of any other islands in the Caribbean. There is no handbook on how or what form of real estate investment to make at any given moment, and quite honestly, as evidenced by the great variation of investor and developer types within the islands it is evident that you can break in to the Cayman Islands real estate investment market with relative ease.
When food ran low before our next voucher, I sat with my older girls (then about 7 and 6 yrs old) and apologized to them for our struggles, I held them and cried and made them promise not to make my mistakes - I told them they would only go hungry with me a few times but if they concentrate on their education then when they become women like mommy they will never be hungry again and they had the opportunity to learn from my mistakes and never have to make them. I gave God thanks that my life was the sacrifice for them to see what happens if you dont take your future seriously and commit to walking right...
BareMinerals has saved my skin! The 30s hit me hard with hormonal induced skin sadness after being accustomed to flawless skin for my entire 20s, enlarged pores, pimply forehead and uneven skin tone was not something I was ready to cope with - or prepared for. When my simply powder foundation could not cover me effectively anymore I began getting buying drugstore foundations and concealers - concealers so harsh they literally burnt my undereye and made my eyes water during application. After suffering with this makeup routine for almost 2 years and watching the quality of my skin deteriorate with every application I saw an advert that the BareMinerals collection was now being sold in the Cayman Islands where I live; I first did my research online and then decided nothing could be worst than the products I was using so I first bought the BarePro liquid foundation and saw the difference in my first use with the way it applied, remained and felt on my skin - I went back the next day to get a few more items including the Dirty Detox mineral mask. I have talked more about this life changing, skin-loving makeup in my video and showed the great products I have started myself off with; I truly do not know what stage of deterioration my complexion would be at right now if I had not made the switch!
WTF!? So I just watched the video of myself when I was 39 weeks preggo (I have embarrassingly posted the video below *eyes closed* eeeeekkkk) - oh dear, I have come so far. It takes some serious skill to keep yourself together for an entire 9 months of pregnancy while tugging around a weight inside… Continue reading VIDEO: REFLECTING ON MY 7TH PREGNANCY – THE MOMENTS OF DESPAIR
In order to make waist training work for me I had to get used to it. The first 4 weeks are the toughest because waist trainers force you to stand or sit up right, keep an arched back, pick up the boobies and really pull in the waist while making the hips and buttocks look broader and wider respectively - let's just say the waist trainer has got you covered in all the right places. I usually waist train 6 days a week and take Sundays off (yeah, I actually have a waist train schedule). Having a waist train schedule helps you to keep on track and stay committed because you have a goal to wear your waist trainer on whatever day from when to whenever. Knowing exactly when and for how long you expect yourself to wear the waist trainer will ensure you have clear expectations for your waist training. Waist training is a method that I recommend to women I know all the time because I know what it did for me, my body, my confidence and my postpartum recovery journey.
When I made the decision to go with permanent eyebrows I had already looked in to the options a bit the year before and thought about exactly why I wanted to go with permanent brows - I wanted to save time, period. But, as much as I wanted to save time I also did not… Continue reading 7 QUICK TIPS ON CARING FOR YOUR NEW PERMANENT EYEBROWS
Let's face it - getting in to an exercise routine and sticking to it when you are a mommy is $&%%ing hard! Like yeah, one week we will be all super motivated and put on our fave exercise video a pair of tights and a Tee and somehow manage to exercise when the baby is sleeping but by week 2 the toddler will be dangling on your leg as you try to do a squat and the teenage daughter will be howling from her bedroom begging mommy to bring a midol... these interruptions can be discouraging and makes you wonder if trying to fit an exercise routine is even worth the frustration. Well, for me it wasn't - my life is rather unpredictabme, I mean I know what I have to do when I wakeup and what time to be to work etc... but the in-betweens are pretty random. At any minute there is going to be a slip, fall and cry or someone will want a sandwich... the pads would be out and both teen daughters will menstruate at the same frickiny time so dinner prep is haulted for a trip 10 miles to the grocery store, etc... so for me to actually exercise my "routine" had to be as random as my daily life and somehow exercise anytime, anywhere, somehow has been working for me so for all the busy mommas out there beating themselves up about getting exercise; do your squats at the pot and your lunges in the shower... read on for all the details.
Like all cosmetic procedures there is going to be a recovery period of pain, discomfort, redness, scabbing, itching, and a brief moment of "wtf did I just do?".
As a time-strapped mama every minute saved is like a million earned so when creating a set of brows decent enough to go in public with started taking me 10 to 20 minutes a day I had to stop my watch to really think about the precious moments I seemed to be wasting everyday for the same frustration of uneven eyebrows that essentially were never the same the day after as the day before... so over it! When I decided to fix this time issue it meant exploring the 2 most popular permanent make-up eyebrow options... micropigmentation vs microblading.
